I'm a high school student living in Toronto and I love skiing and ski racing. I tune skis and snowboards in the basement workshop of my parents' house (aka 'The Dungeon')
The icy conditions in Ontario can be tough. So whether you're a racer or a recreational skier, having your skis tuned regularly really does matter - you will ski better with smooth, sharp edges and a properly waxed base.
I only tune 10-12 pairs of skis a week, so I can take my time and do an awesome job on every pair of skis that I work on.
I own top-of-the-line tools and equipment. I'll get your edges totally dialled in with my Razor-Tune precision edge tuning machine.
I only use high performance and environmentally friendly wax from Nanox. This stuff is better and faster than that cheap, toxic crap that your ski shop is using.
I'll give you a better tune for half the price of most ski shops. I charge $35 for a regular ski tune and $50 for a full race tune. Check-out the price list below for all the details.
Ski Shop tune-ups just cost too much. Most places in Toronto charge $60-$80 for regular ski tune and $100-$150 for a full race tune! That's just too expensive.

Pricing for additional repair work that may be needed to get your skis/board fixed up. I will do a quick inspection of your gear to identify if any extra repairs are recommended.
Rust can build on base edges that aren't thoroughly dried prior to off-season storage. This rust must be removed manually before the base edges can be properly tuned.
PTEX is used to fill small gouges in the base of skis/boards to ensure there is a smooth sliding surface contacting the snow.
I'm able to work on 10-12 pairs of skis or boards per week. Customers are served on a first come first served basis.
Here's how my service works:
1. Online Booking - book your tune by scheduling a gear drop-off appointment Sunday-Wednesday (evenings only) using the booking button on this page
2. The Gear Drop-off Appointment - Bring your skis/boards to my workshop (aka my parents house) at the arranged time. At the drop off you will pay for your service and we will arrange a mutually agreeable pick-up day and time.
3. The Tune - I'll do the tune and have your gear ready for pick-up 48 hours later
4. The Pick-up - Come back and pick up your gear

Tuning skis regularly really does matter, with regular tune-ups you will ski better and your equipment will last longer.
I'll get your gear tuned and ready for pick-up 48 hours after you drop it off.
Most of my customers are skiing on weekends, so generally speaking they drop off early in the week (Sunday-Tuesday night) and pick-up later in the week (Wednesday/Thursday night).
Nanox waxes do not contain fluorocarbons - that means no chemical residue is left on the snow that will get into our fresh water supply in the spring melt. Everyone should be switching to this stuff.
